Peaceful December

Few weeks ago, I felt a need to reach out to a few friends and my Purple Light Princesses. I delayed a bit but I eventually did.

From their responses, I could see a circle of depression and I needed no one to explain to me how draining that feeling can be.

These are young and vibrant people who were going through so much. Some could point out the issues, some couldn't clearly trace it.

Today, my heart goes out to every young person feeling depressed right now, you are the reason I wrote this.

1) I know you probably have heard people give justifiable reasons why young people shouldn't be depressed, 'You are not hungry', 'you don't have a family to cater for' and the likes.
Do not allow anyone make you feel worse for feeling down. We all need to understand that these issues go beyond all that, it's the issue of the MIND!
This is not to say we should remain in that depressed state because that’s even highly detrimental to our health.

2) Do not always heed to the desire to act strong, I used to find it hard to admit that  I wasn't fine. I wanted to be that 'strong girl' people knew, whereas I was harbouring alot of pain. I didn't want to appear weak but in actually fact I was. Your liberation may just be tied to you opening up, remember true strength is acknowleding you are not always strong. Do not keep pain to yourself, speak to someone, seek professional help if need be.

3) This world is a troubled place and God really knew his Peace will be much needed. There is so much Peace and Joy in God. God's Joy is strenght, it's something we should strive to keep. Nothing here can truly satisfy us.

Pursue the peace of God and when you find it, I hope you guard it jealously.

2020 hasn't been as expected, we've made it this far and we can't give up now. This phase may be difficult but do not be ignorant of the lessons God is teaching you.

I pray you a peaceful december filled with God's Joy and Laughter. May God give you peace that surpasses all understanding in Jesus Name.
