I AM ALIVE, I WON!
Last Wednesday, I woke up feeling a bit ill, with little or no motivation to leave the house. I kept lamenting to my Aunt, she had asked me to call the office if I didn't feel better.
I began to pray, not just for myself but everyone in the keke. Under my breath, I kept praying. I wanted all of us to get home safely.
I didn't want to stay home, there was so much work to get done. I prayed, dampened the feeling, and headed out.
I was informed the previous day to make some inquiries for our organization before resuming at the office.
I took a vehicle there from home, I had to board another vehicle to get to the exact location, I crossed to the other side of the road to get one.
I noticed this blue golf vehicle, the driver kept pointing forward to signify he was going straight. I flagged him down.
The vehicle had thick tinted glasses, you could barely see anything from outside. I never board vehicles with this feature. I didn't realize this until I was seated in the vehicle.
The man in the front seat looked really responsible, one would have thought he was headed to the Federal Secretariat to work. The other two looked a bit vulnerable. A man and a plump fair lady, with elephant-like artificial eyelashes.
This was in Maitama (a very popular and decent area in Abuja). One passenger asked to alight in a very strange location, a place nobody stops. I found it funny, but I was minding my business.
The driver brought the vehicle to a halt and then stories started. Stories about money in the boot, stories that honestly didn't make so much sense to me. More money? sure, but I am not desperate, I am content with all I have now.
When the woman beside me starts to convince me not to get down, then it dawned on me that I was in a 'one chance' vehicle, with criminals posing as fellow passengers. I have come to believe that it is a mix of psychology and spirituality.
I had this experience in 2018, God delivered me too. It was the same strategy, but a different story and a man asking me to give him my white handkerchief.
Sadly, I have been a 'one chance' victim in the past (2019), although it didn't happen in a vehicle, I simply was trying to describe a location to an elder man I had compassion on.
The end of it was that they made away with all the valuables I had on me. My hungry and faulty Infinix phone, Bluetooth earpiece, my ATM cards, and my bag which had only 500 naira in it.
I remember I started praying, the elderly man kept kicking against me praying but I continued.
When they let me go, God placed Min Nuel, right on the street where this happened and I got rescued. Luckily, he quickly got my sister Terna to help block my accounts before they attempted any withdrawal.
For me, the hurt I felt wasn't because of anything they took from me, there is just the pain of knowing you got cheated and you could do nothing about it, nothing! No one likes to be vulnerable and at the mercy of others. I was traumatized, and my body was shaking ceaselessly. 'was this ever supposed to happen to me in the first place?'
Back to the story of yesterday. Praise be to God I was seated at the extreme, I quickly alighted and they immediately zoomed off.
Omo, the trek I was avoiding, I trekked it well yesterday. Lol.
That wasn't all, I didn't leave the office the time I normally would, as I crossed the road to get a keke, I felt so restless.
I got into the keke, and a few minutes after, I raised my head to see a car on top speed on the opposite side coming directly towards us. Our keke driver was trying to maneuver, no way, he hit our keke on the left side, and we tilted to the right. I felt we were going to fall out, but thank God we were able to maintain balance. This keke thing is as light as rubber.
I began to pray, not just for myself but everyone in the keke. Under my breath, I kept praying. I wanted all of us to get home safely.
I boarded the last vehicle to get home and boom, an escort Hilux appears in front of us, you know those screeching sounds of brakes. It was like a movie. I kept praying and in my heart, I kept hearing 'It is not over until it is over'.
I kept on, and finally, around my vicinity, I crossed to buy something for my cousin, where this flying bike came from, I can't even say. I remember running back to where I was crossing from. I was so close to a hit, someone who witness it told me he actually thought the bike would knock me down.
As I opened the gate of our home, I had this 'Victor' feeling. I won yesterday! 05/04/2023 I won!
I narrated the events of the day to my Aunt and Cousin, my parents were already distressed over the 'one chance' so I didn't tell them all. Lol, my mother will read it here.
What if I was attacked in that vehicle? Nobody would have known because the glasses were all tinted.
What if I was abused? I know someone who was raped by three men she met when she boarded the vehicle.
God kept me, I am certain it was God.
I plugged into WHP daily prayers, and although I slept off, I was fully assured of God's love.
Please take precautions as much as you can, these days are evil. Till we own cars, if you use public vehicles, shine your eyes and pray o. It works.if you feel a restrain in your heart, it just may be God prompting you.
